1980 Mercedes-Benz R107 450SL

   

Presented in a rare and very eye catching combination of Inca Red over Black leather, this 450SL represents an opportunity to get into an ultra low mileage example of the classic R107 SL in fantastic overall condition. Being an 1980 model, this 450SL offers the classic R107 touches including full chrome exterior door handles and earlier style interior switchgear along with the later 450 V8 engine and drivetrain. Having covered only 22,000 miles, the car looks almost showroom fresh with bright Inca Red paintwork, excellent condition chrome trims and, of course, the all important matching hardtop. The interior is trimmed in high quality, ultra hard wearing MB Tex and is of course in immaculate condition as you would expect. The history file features service stamps from Mercedes in the early part of the cars life and again in the mid 1990's. The current keeper (only the cars 3rd) took ownership in 1998 and has used the car sparingly since then with the most recent MOT records showing only a few hundred miles having been added over the years. The car has been in long term storage since 2019 and was brought to us in mid 2025 for recommissioning. This work included a full Type C service, transmission service, all new engine belts, suspension bushes, fuel hoses, brake components, exhaust and alternator. The car is now back in rude health and is ready to be enjoyed by it's new owner.
