Diamond Blue is a very popular colour for a late model SL, complimented best by a light beige or grey interior. This car features Mushroom Sports Check, an ideal material for touring in warmer climates. Further evidence that the first owner intended to use this car for long distance travel is the presence of cruise control and headlamp wash/wipe, both of which were expensive optional extras on the 300SL. This car also features the boot spoiler more commonly seen on 500SL models.
