2001 Mercedes-Benz R129 SL320 with Java Leather (234)

A rare opportunity to acquire one of the last limited edition R129 SLs – The Designo Heritage Edition. Finished in Allanite Green with Java Leather interior with embossed Designo script, this car is one of just 49 allocated to the UK back in 2001.

The Designo Heritage Edition was available in either SL280 or SL320 guise, and it would seem that the designers had a crystal ball in the office at the time – this colour combination has aged so well that it’s fully back in fashion today.

Overall in excellent condition, but the clear panels in the soft top do need to be replaced due to cracks which are beginning to split. Once that's been rectified, many happy miles (whatever the weather) await the next owner.

A thick history file accompanies this car, but one document stands out from all the invoices, service records and usual history that would accompany a car of this grade. That stand out sheet of A4 being a letter from TfL (Transport for London, if you weren't sure) confirming that this car meets the required standard for London ULEZ, thus avoiding the daily £12.50 fee allowing you to waft about the capital with a smug grin.
