1989 Mercedes-Benz R107 560SL

A 560SL is a rare enough thing, but even rarer are European spec. cars that were not afflicted by the unsightly US specification bumpers and lights. This is one such car, supplied new in July 1989 to the Japanese market, where left hand drive prestige cars are seen as something of a status symbol. Returned to Europe in 2014 with just 17,603 km showing on the odometer, the car was treated to a comprehensive overhaul in 2017 at Silchester Garage in Berkshire by the present owner who used it sparingly before putting it into climate-controlled storage in 2020 with 21,894 km on the clock.
